They say
They say depression is temporary,
But they know nothing of this weight I carry.
They say It's all in my head,
But they don't know I'm hanging on by a thread.
They say it's not that hard and I should just smile,
But they don't know that my brain is like a judge and I'm always on trial.
They say staying positive and thinking happy thoughts is a must,
But they don't know that this isn't Neverland and I'm all out of pixie dust.
They say talking about my feelings is a way to seek attention from others,
But they don't know that blankets aren't the only things used as covers.
They say happiness is a choice that only I can make,
But they don't know that I am about to break
