Racism - Will it ever end?

Cuffed
Arrested
Chocked
Murdered
All this for what?
A skin that is black
Calm, relaxed and held aback
Lincoln may have abolished slavery
But many still resent that, still angry
Resort to prejudicial and racial treatment of blacks
For them they are nothing but a paperback
They cause nothing but harm
Encourage segregation
Rather than integration
All the work done by the civil rights movement
Undone under 10 minutes
For what is the point if you cannot be treated like others
What is the point of the constitution
If the institutions and state fail to uphold it
Like Martin Luther King said
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere
Charged with third degree murder
He has gotten away with it
How can a knee pressed down on a neck
Be not considered mens rea for murder
Only our justice system could think like that
May George Floyd rest in peace
I am sure he did not wish any harm upon anyone
