Mirrored Flaws

Do you ever stare at yourself in the mirror
Disconnected from the fear and longing in your dreary eyes
Wondering if others see you the way you are in the moment
Tortured with anguish the lonely girl fighting her way outside

For the eyes are the gate to your soul
Or so they say but if so my soul is tainted losing control searching for something to drown in the void
Searching for answers to questions everyone else finds paranoid
Breaking down as i stare into these foreign eyes until my vision blurs
Panic settling in on the floor away from the sight
Familiar matters taking a toll as i lose the battle give up the fight

Smashing the glass
trembling fingers reaching down to the shards in my grasp
Oh xanax how i want you to come back
But that wont make my life any more in tact
So i calm the panic and try to pretend i am all okay
But really who is this person using my voice in my shell of a body this May
