From The Deep
Do you know what it's like to have nowhere to go?
And the answer to every desperate question is no
And some people you love turn their backs to you
And there's no solution you don't know what to do
And if you venture outside you're met with evil eyes
And the words that you speak are contemptible lies
And when you look in the mirror you ache so bad
And you think of your losses and all that you had
And you don't want to live but you don't want to die
And with lust for revenge shake your fist at the sky
And you find you are not the same man as before
And there's nothing in life that you fear anymore
And you don't really care if your future looks grim
And you know that you're sunk so it's easy to swim
And to your surprise find that you still want to live
And you have to accept some damn way to forgive
And you do it and see yourself move through a gate
And as you pass through it feel it's not too late
And at that moment your sun starts shining again
And the fury at the world dissipates with your pain
And you allow someone special to enter your life
And you know it was worth all the trouble and strife
And you're riding a wave with all the winds behind
And you're humble now and you're happy and kind
And you raise your arms to the heavens above
And you know gratitude and you cherish the love
And the answer to every desperate question is no
And some people you love turn their backs to you
And there's no solution you don't know what to do
And if you venture outside you're met with evil eyes
And the words that you speak are contemptible lies
