Where Corona virus is having
An unusual effect on the
Prospects for the Amazon rainforest.
Forest wardens are unable to
Stop the intense logging
Due to being furloughed and
The forest is in immanent danger.
The Amazon rainforest has been
In danger since I was a child
And maybe before.
It's a story that has been going
For fifty years or more
And you would have thought
That if anyone gave a shit
It'd be sorted out by now.
I'm sure the problems are complex
And blah, blah, blah, but for fuck sake.
Pull it down or let it burn, then we
Can say, 'I wish I'd done summit'.
Or maybe I'm just being sensitive.

It's the corruption from government and corporations and their greed. Then we wonder why we have so many deaths with natural disasters and pandemics. Mother Earth is going to take it back (like that old Pink Floyd song)...some day.
