Mars and Venus

You see falling stars in the sky    
And I made a hundred wishes for us  
Building on the past for a new bridge    
From our kisses, hopes, and promises    
I am at your lovely feet and you    
touch my lips softly with your hand    
And the angels smile flying over us    
I want it to be like this always    
Still I have a hard time believing it    
is possible that happiness in days    
can blossom into years, notes of doubt

Must we know the time of losses, partings    
and other routes, detours that leave us lost    
We rush through time so quickly and    
I guess all of this is love that is in our    
blood and soul    
   
Whatever happens I believe in one thing    
that there are good winds below our wings    
And I am intoxicated and alive with you    
The wind takes us flying high and there    
is not much need for words when engulfed    
in passion    
   
You know eventually among beautiful planets    
Like Mars and Venus desire to be together    
We will become stars in the sky ourselves
