Adios
All of my dreams packaged in an envelope and mailed to nowhere
Return them to sender because nobody cares
I could see it I could taste it it was so damn close
Now all of a sudden its adios
I look at pictures of you to pretend you're still here
I wrap my arms round my blanket and imagine it's you my dear
I can smell you're scent I swear you're so close
Now all of a sudden its adios
I watch you eating that breakfast I cooked for you
Or in the restaurant on that table for two
Laughing and eating all of my prawns
Cuddled in each others arms through the dawn
And we almost made it we was so goddamn close
Now all of a sudden its adios
Return them to sender because nobody cares
I could see it I could taste it it was so damn close
Now all of a sudden its adios
I look at pictures of you to pretend you're still here
I wrap my arms round my blanket and imagine it's you my dear
I can smell you're scent I swear you're so close
Now all of a sudden its adios
I watch you eating that breakfast I cooked for you
Or in the restaurant on that table for two
Laughing and eating all of my prawns
Cuddled in each others arms through the dawn
And we almost made it we was so goddamn close
Now all of a sudden its adios
