Cause in reality
How special can it be
If it’s written to speak to a crowd?

It’s not necessary
If it’s specially crafted
Everyone feels it when it’s
Spoken out loud

Only published because you’re
Not afraid of who knows how you feel
But honestly I’m only ever
Seeking the approval of one

And as long as they get it
As long as it touches them in the heart
As long as they add it to their memory
My job was done!

Is just a bonus
