True Colors (NaPo #25/30)

It's interesting when you read a person's work,
And decide to follow the poet, thinking you like their work.
Interesting, intriguing, and touching works they write,
But after a while, it becomes sad, when you see their true colors, in their new writes
And in their forum posts,
It feels like of their former selves, they've become mere ghosts...
...But you know they've been that way all along,
You were just wrong
About them,
Back then, you knew nothing about them.
When they sit upon a pedestal, and only quote themselves,
And when they say to get a gun and shoot to protect themselves,
But by that they mean go find where others live and kill them,
Instead of waiting until the first move or plan to move was made by them.
Or when they say vaccines are killer bots,
Or when they let someone come to their house for vain reasons during quarantine, guess they have to look beautiful when their life departs.
You know, children who are vaccinated have more of a chance for autism becasue the one's who aren't, die,
Sorry to spit that not-lie.
I betcha people in ancient countries and civilizations, would have killed for a vaccine to keep them from dying from water not boiled high enough, or a cut on their hand,
But now there are people all across this land,
Taking them for granted, and even hating them,
We've made a gem
And all they want is dirt,
Maybe it's good, it will get out of the gene pool their hazard.
I wish the best for all,
And I hope they become less self-centered, and more informed and all.
