Wow, Brenda... Incredible writing. This one really spoke to my soul 🙏. Some of the things you said, and the feelings you portray here are very similar to my own feelings related to spirituality.

"in an instant, I knew I was a conduit
used to convey the great riddles of perplexity
within the sacred university of adversity"

I've always heard people talk about having "a calling". This was a very relatable line, as I have felt that same... "drive" to help people. To help people to learn in to understand the world. To help them find their light.

"In my haste for understanding
I translate grace as an equation
it didn't add up
I double-check my math"

As someone who majored in science, this stanza was another that resonated well with me. Faith cannot be acquired by the same process by which we observe the world, as it requires a sort of 'blind' trust - polar opposite to the evidence-based reality and standard held by science.

For a long time, this caused me much cognitive dissonance... Two directly incompatible ways of thinking. I had to realize though, that there is much of even our observable reality that we don't understand. Eventually, I guess I finally just figured out how to decompartmentalize those different areas of my life into a belief system that works all the way around. Everything doesn't have to be a puzzle, although I tend to turn things into puzzles lol. I don't have to know the answers to everything... Sometimes I just have to learn how to trust.

Anyway, I don't want to talk your head off. But this one was particularly relatable to me, so I figured I'd take the time to let you in on it. Thank you for sharing this. I REALLY liked this one 😊❤️

thank you graciously dearest NewB I love that you took the time to tell me how this write spoke to you... you know sometimes I can feel just plain kooky when I write but I'm directed to write as I hear... that you deeply related to this makes my day...it makes expressing what you feel less fearsome when you are connecting with others... yes faith is not something that can be crunched like numbers...I am everyday overwhelmed with the idea the cosmos is endless and our place in it... then there is the infinite...eternity without end I believe we will be in a constant state of evolution... kind scares me the thought its humbling...
