Your book and the memories

Today I opened that book again
Which once you had given.
Every line, every word
Reminds me of how you used to dictate it then.

Your intonation
Over every full stop and every exclamation
Today I feel them lingering in my head again
After traveling long from my memory land.

I know it had gone too far,
It took me long to send it there.
But now when they have found their way back
They are not gonna leave without
Unpacking few more memories sack.

Can you see this bookmark?
It still has that laughing emoji on it.
Which you had once drawn
And told me
They would laugh, if before completing I ever stop.

Was the book the only thing we had to complete?
What about those dreams
Which we used to see?
Everytime we would meet.

You had promised to read me
Those stories every night.
And now when you are gone
I still hear them but from those memories
Which creep in the dark of nights
And stays on my bed until we fight.
