I WILL NOT WRITE
I will not write
what’s in my head
even though so much
needs to be said,
needs to find
a way out.
I will not write,
tell you about
this moment in time,
when I crave to sit and
rhyme for hours,
to tap into the powers
which guide my way,
help me work out
what to say
that isn’t said,
relieve my aching head
of the congested mess
bought on by city stress.
I will not write,
instead I'll close my eyes,
start the day again,
wake just before it ends
to say goodnight.
