I Wish!
I wish I could cry,
I wish I knew why,
The look in my eye,
Emotion denied.
So much to release,
I wish it would cease,
Emotion obese,
My need on a leash.
I wish I knew why,
The look in my eye,
Emotion denied.
So much to release,
I wish it would cease,
Emotion obese,
My need on a leash.

One man's pain is another man's pleasure,
one man's labour is another man's leisure.
one man's love is another man's hate,
live life now before its too late.
Thanks for the comment. Stay safe. X

Re: Re. I Wish!
I cried last in late 2022 when me and my wife split. Im not really a big fan of crying but sometimes it is just the release that you need. Once those good gates opened I just gave in and really went for it.

I envy you. The only thing that brings tears to my eyes ever since that day a categorically failed to impress my first major crush, is yawning, sneezing, laughing at childish things, and chopping onions.
Inside me is a large glass jar. It's crammed tight with emotional baggage to the point where its more like a ticking time bomb. One day it'll explode, and I don't wanna be around when it does.

Re: Re. I Wish!
You must realize it's self induced. Bottling up is a defense mecanism that is learned over time and usually at a young age. At some point you were conditioned, either through outside influence or through personal observation to believe that bottling up is, in some way, more beneficial than allowing your feelings to overflow. It's quite common for men in our younger age to come to this conclusion but as we grow older, we should come to the realization that is not that a real man doesn't cry, it's that it takes a man who is confident in his manhood to be able to open up, even if to himself, and feel the emotions. We have emotions for a reason. Not allowing those emotions to serve their purpose is a disservice to ourselves.
