Untitled 4/11/2020 (Poem 35)

God forgive me    
Love is not in me
As the hearts yawned    
Still sleeping with    
Prejudice and malice  
   
Once upon a time ,  
   
Jealousy gave head to envy  
Hate made love to despair    
Produced a bloodshed    
Called death    
   
(Time B.C)  
   
Before a child was born,    
Love nibbles on an affair    
UnAppreciated fingered loyalty  
Revenge gave head to a divorcee    
Heartbreak fucked the other divorcee from the back    
Producing a love child    
   
(Time AD )  
   
After hate died,    
Vindictive became friends with pettiness  
The divorcee asked for forgiveness  
Tears begged for mercy  
Apathy turned to sympathy    
As darkness turned to light    
God have forgiven thee    
Time and time again    
   
But ,    
The night returned and cries were unheard    
Eyes watched the swearing cussing and unclean ways    
Doors were shut    
Blinds were closed    
Backs were turned    
No entryways were given for    
The unfaithful    
From the holy hands    
   
In the dawn    
The sleeping hearts awoke with    
Disappointment and remorse    
And said    
God forgive me  
I beg thee  
For a love like yours to be placed in me
