Goodbyes
I ask you this as you shrug off my kiss
How can you love me when I'm old and grey
My dear if you dont love me today
And what hit me like a boulder
Is when you shrugged your shoulders
You didnt have nothing to say
Just looked the other way
And the silence draws so heavy as we sit infront of the tele
My love I say how can you want me tomorrow if you dont want me today
And it shook me to the core that you couldn't say nomore
But with your lack of replys
You said it all in you're eyes
Now theres nomore need to lie or even pretend to cry
My girl freedom is here
And happiness is following up the rear
And it chills me to the bone
But hey I'm not one to moan
The next time we open our eyes we would have already said our goodbyes
How can you love me when I'm old and grey
My dear if you dont love me today
And what hit me like a boulder
Is when you shrugged your shoulders
You didnt have nothing to say
Just looked the other way
And the silence draws so heavy as we sit infront of the tele
My love I say how can you want me tomorrow if you dont want me today
And it shook me to the core that you couldn't say nomore
But with your lack of replys
You said it all in you're eyes
Now theres nomore need to lie or even pretend to cry
My girl freedom is here
And happiness is following up the rear
And it chills me to the bone
But hey I'm not one to moan
The next time we open our eyes we would have already said our goodbyes
