I was thinking more that the bird with a broken wings gets eaten by the neighborhood cat and dies ( yep. my minds right there, lol).

I chased two cats off a blackbird last year and managed to net the bird and take it to a bird sanctuary, I was told once it’s feathers grew back it would be good to go. Nothing is certain, their is always hope if indeed nothing else
