Far Past Peace
Pious parishioners
Passing out pamphlets
That pander to people
Panicking due to pandemic
Phony prophets
Profiting from paranoia
Pilfering philanthropists
Poised at the pulpit
To prey on the public
They pillage and plunder
Like pirates penny pinching
Or petty politicians
Promising paradise
Picture perfection
They preach to the populace
This pestilence is the price that we pay
For perpetual progress
Pathetic posturing
They downplay their privilege
Then pretend to be prosecuted
A country by fear paralyzed
Hospitals short on supplies
Brings tears to my eyes
The people must rise
Give the establishment we despise
An unpleasant surprise
For our years terrorized
And force feeding us lies
We should reach for the skies
I’m eager to try
Once we grieve those who’ve died
And this fever subsides
Passing out pamphlets
