Forgive and Knocked Out

I came running to you
The anticipation rising as I get closer
You've been on my mind, darling
I can hear you calling.

Our first kiss was amazing
I fell back in love with you
So you're and true
Just how I knew you.

A few days go by and something is wrong
I wake up in pain
Why is it so hard to move
What did you do?

Looking in the mirror like a raccoon with cancer
Skin is peeling like a snake
Lip is a bloated fish
I don't remember making this wish.

Black, purple, and blue tattoos
Markings done by only you
We were supposed to be a secret
How could you not keep it?

My heart is screaming as it slows
My brain is laughing as a headache
Throat too dry to cry
Shoulder must have a boulder.

My love for you is strong
Stronger than the pain
I forgive and come back to you
Get knocked out by black and blue
