Virtue and Yearning

without notice
we find ourselves
meandering,
pinned amid skeins
of firmament unfamiliar

conditioned Creatures
collectively
keeping our cool

focused upon navigation
through unexpected textures
Invisibly coating
well-traveled
material constructs

odd germs
of emotion
permeate formless membrane
guarding the perpetual flux
of Our Spiritual minds

Suddenly
Virtue Itself is challenged

alien strains
of complexity and nuance
form a noxious fog
of
strangely morphing environments
and
frightening immediacy

exacerbated,
quite frankly,

by ages of decisions
haphazardly made

how dare those eons
of poor decisions
and
their tortuously variated parade
of flawed decision-makers
pave a Social road
full of convolution and obstacle
seemingly cutting the ribbon
of its completion

Here
and
Now:

Our
Simple Time
of
Human Yearning
