A Cup Of Tea

The grit and flesh of it
probably
lived in the family attic
for years
before
the time grandma
pulled her false teeth out
Put the kettle to boil
and started reminiscing
family stories of yesteryear

I took home
a marmalade sandwich,
a little extra love,
and the knowledge
this generation behaves better
than our forefathers did

I'm sure as heck
men have been sissified
to the point of
being jellyfish
in daily standards.

As grandma would say
"You need an erection, to use a penis"
