Attempted Murder
He stood watching her from afar, just as he had for the last few days. He thought she was beautiful. She had a way about her, a glow that showed off her most delicate features. He could watch her forever.
He heard her call out to someone nearby and his heart skipped a beat. The sound of her voice was beautiful, a melodic tone that flew across the sky just for him.
It was time. Enough of the foolishness, time for her to notice him. For her to know that he was the guy for her.
Edging his way closer he could hear his heartbeat quicken. With a dry throat he sidled up to her on the branch and offered a call of welcome.
“Caw, caw!”
Her dark eyes looked him over approvingly as she offered him his wing.
“Caw, caw!”
They were together as one. Now to find another.
