Suicidal Angel

Its only once you tell yourself, I'll only bleed for a while
but the truth is my dear you cant keep hiding behind your smile
the cuts are getting deeper and you know i know it too
you cannot hide the scars now and i don't know what to do

You place the knife against your skin hoping it wont hurt
you dig it in deeper and watch the scar that's being burnt
the blood keeps oozing out as you hold a tissue to the cut
you know you did the wrong thing, but you can't feel it in your gut

This is where i find you, wedged against the door
I can't help but cry myself cause I've been here before
your big blue eyes are crying cause you can not take the pain
we have to find a way to help, the pathway back to sane

Please stop crying now, it's over
just rest your head upon my shoulder
watch those deadly dreams float away
let your body move in a rhythmic sway

The blood will soon stop oozing and the pain will slowly fade
the wound will heal over, now that arrangements have been made
the years have come and gone; you've got scars to prove it all
it'll be a long winding road, but you've got no further left to fall

There's no reason for these lacerations that will forever haunt your past
it's now time to put down the knife and seek help very fast
hell you're no angel, but you do have an angels face
now you've lost your innocence, and fallen down from grace.
