Get naked
for me
no condescension in my requestin'
It's simply you
that I want to see
Naked
right before my eyes
blue-green color splashes
as the warmth of my nature
begins to rise at the edge of night
Personal
as your clothes gently fall to
the floor
it's just you and me
it doesn't have to go any further
than this
unless you want a little more
I will oblige
and we will wrap up in each other
Love will catch fire
Moments I will never share
with another.....

Author's Note
.....inspired by the song, "Naked " by Ella Mai which admittedly, I did not like at first listen. At the surface, it sounded too self indulgent. And then, one night I listened closely and heard the singers insecurities, felt her emotions.....her overwhelming desire in this purpose driven world to simply be loved. Reminded me of a very close friend who is the epitome of these lyrics. The feelings that stir between us that sometimes are larger than life. And we try to just be "friends" but this "elegant elephant" is always in the room with us when we are are alone together. I want to be that somebody who loves you naked.....

Thank you my dear. You are somewhat of a "quiet fire" and this is probably penned with that type of personality in mind. I think that for me, I'm most atuned to that sociological genre of thinkers. That emotion. The "quiet fire" always seems to burn the hottest, the brightest.........and then with the same intensity that it burns, it also hides itself away until needed again. Still always shared between each other. I like that. Probably more of a comment than was necessary to write. 😁
