When I知 Sober
You only hate me when I知 sober
When my mouth is a kiss that burns
And my words are alight with a clarity
That leaves your heart upturned
And you love the taste of amber
More than the touch of my outstretched hand
Cause I can稚 reach you in your whiskey haze
While you flounder in broken glass and sand
And I wonder if you only want me
When I知 gone from you line of sight
And do you only notice me
When I want to pick a fight
Cause you only hate me when I知 sober
And you only like me when I知 crazy
But I don稚 want a love that痴 fickle
To gaze into blue eyes always hazy
And I know a thing about addictions
And a thing about broken hearts
And I知 tired of the abyss of both
When they tear us both apart
I don稚 want another you-me tragedy
Where we light ourselves on fire
With the green and amber of our vices
My love, of this love I知 tired
Cause you only hate me when I知 sober
And I don稚 want to love a drunk
When the drink always comes before my heart
And this time I致e had enough

Wonderful and easy read. The rhyming scheme is not predictable here. I enjoyed this very much. The above lines you definitely hit full swing.

Thanks! Re-reading it though and I'm wondering if sight can be staggered?? Can it :s ?? LOL. Maybe impairing* works better js to be safe.
