Empty mind

Empty mind
equals momentary serenity,
sitting here as
the witness, the dreamer and the thinker
all in one at once,
I'm one with all,
remembering to remind myself to
remain mindful and aware
of the inner dialogue
 and daily instances
of cognitive dissonance.

Empty mind
equals room
to just be and breathe freely,
room to absorb
and appreciate each moment
and to never take anything for granted
even those periods of panic that appear
perpetual and never fading
fear filled flashbacks..

If you experience that emptiness
for an extended amount of time
maybe you can conjure it
in any circumstance
no matter how chaotic
to become master of
mind/reactions.
