Pinnacle of Evolution

And although my world is seemingly shadowed by that which I cannot comprehend or engage with in battle, I am acutely aware that a brighter light will break through and rescue my existence, and eventually, once time has dropped his hour glass and eternity is little more than a fortnight, I will take up my belongings and collect my breath. Standing at the pinnacle of evolution- I will make myself known to all. But for now, I will endure all that is necessary to survive amidst the dust and the rocks as they circle the galaxies, oppressing any freedom that I once called my own. Instead I’m enslaved into the system, bound by locked chains that will remain so until higher authorities seem fit to unleash me. Compulsively, I inhale the foul dust that have stalked my movements and clung to me like sweat on a shirt. And like a laminated scratch, I’m an imperfection that can never be forgotten.
