Wide Eyed and Alive

My eyes are light and my hair is fair
My skin has not felt
the pleasure of the hot sun
Some say an off white porcelain
Other's say its rare
I don't have an autobiography
about my life
But I have stories to tell
I have a gift for words
Although I don't speak well
I have wisdom from mothers
Inlaws and friends
Like Angelou, Soldier and Cecily Tyson
My ancestors are unknown
But my race is clear
Im of porcelain white actresses
And of Africa Queens flair
I dance on my dreams
And trip through out the day
I laugh like preforming clouds
Flipping while they play
Im wonderful but only because I love life
Their so much more to me then just and mother and a wife

Yaaasss! theirs this spiritual being
Who really got me
He holds my own sensuality for me
Our bond is unique
and filled with laughter
Cause we hold forever
pain here and after
He wont ever remind me of my past
He understands memories cant be cast
I live in a world controlled by Sin
I've Made promises
That are often broken again
He forgives, I pray, believe and stay
Sometimes we just sit and cry
But in all reality
We stay wide eyed and Alive.
