YOU ARE ENOUGH
I sign in to DUP and start reading from some of the poet's who have reached their bottom, emotionally. The fragility of their words were painfully familiar.
It saddens me and I want to help.
We all should.
One thing we can all do is share our own battles out of the darkness and what worked for us.
We write poetry for our own reasons.
At one point or another in our lifetime, we have all been through something awful and have needed help.
Everyone has a different perspective of their value in this world. Some of us have no idea what our purpose is or what value we hold.
When you feel alone and have reached the point of mental and physical exhaustion understandably, you give up.
I know what it feels like to be in the void.
You feel alone, detached from the world around you. When you are numb, mentally abusing yourself by any means necessary, just to get through the reality of your life; talk to someone anyone.
Please understand that there are so many people who have been where you are right now.
NO ONE on here is without faults. NO ONE!
To anyone who needs someone, I want you to know that I am listening.
This was written for you.
You have nothing to lose by starting a conversation with any person on here you connect with.
There's numerous seasoned poet's here at DUP who will listen to you. I would know because they have helped me.
There's a number of genuine, caring people who understand what it is like to be a writer fighting to express your feelings.
Look yourself in the mirror and say, " I am enough".
Because you are.
Below is a list of numbers you can call when you decide it's time to get help.
