Two Hearts

Two hearts of desire broken,  
divided by the country line,  
followed by unwanted days of separation.  

Tears have fallen plenty;  
for the need to love from afar  
has brought much heartache.
 
Now, the days of separation have ceased,  
for the desired day of two hearts has risen;  
and the clock has stricken the hour  
for the two hearts to cross the country line together forever.
