A beautiful rose has thorns that can hurt you  
So do some of the people in this world too  
Don't pursue anyone only based off of looks  
Find one who has consumed an array of books  
 
Don't get hooked on the addictive drug of vanity  
Be careful who you love for it's a form of insanity  
Collectively we've all been there at one time or another  
It's not always what it's cracked up to be is what we discover  
 
A four leaf clover doesn't always provide good luck  
Bad relationship after bad relationship like what the f*ck  
Causing you to decide to chuck up the deuces  
For you've grown weiry and teary from excuses  
 
Blown fuses can make a heart inoperable  
Happily ever after is usually only in fables  
Tables sometimes turn onto the wrong side  
So allow your mental to be your travel guide
