Now and Later
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Taking for granted all its splendor
in lieu of complaints.
Perfectly made in our creator's
divine way
So called imperfections, we chop, tuck and
cut for play.
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Loved isn't shared;
It's bartered
or
kept in a cage.
Drowning in negative emotions
that flow enraged.
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Rooms, then, fill with
cries and sighs,
when we all had yesterday.
To give our tokens
to the slots of life.
Acting, instead,
on generational strife,
ignoring present
insight.
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Fight chosen
over flight,
Knowing, within the proverbial
body, the soul
cannot stay.
Gallantly made plans
for the shared promise of death.
Each deed
to be weighted,
upon
our final breath.
A strong piece of
wisdom
I'm hoping will stay,
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Until it all fades away.
Taking for granted all its splendor
in lieu of complaints.
Perfectly made in our creator's
divine way
So called imperfections, we chop, tuck and
cut for play.
Life is for the living...
Until it all fades away.
Loved isn't shared;
