He Drank The Snake Oil at The Carnival
He was given a chance to see the future
all he had to do was peer through
an antique microscope,
jumping at the chance he closed his
left eye and with his right eye he saw
the end and a strange new beginning.
He was scared and ashamed
never really the same,
how could anyone be after seeing
what he had seen.
After the sight he just lived, simply lived,
knowing simple would be the past
one day, oh and he waited for that
end his whole life all because he saw
what lied ahead, or thought he did,
poor guy didn't even really give
himself a chance to truly live
all because of what a carnie
in a tent showed him.

You can spend your whole life worrying. That's the message I'm getting here.

The mind is a precarious thing, Nikki. Apt to believe what it wants.
My oldest cousin ( 16 at the time ) went to a fortune teller when we lived in England, and she was told she would be killed in a car crash by a drunk. Her whole life she has been terrified of cars and drinking, and would refuse to go out many times. She is now 65.

The power of suggestion is a tool of evil.
I ironically used to have a dream about a blue car in a crash and was scared of blue cars for a long time. I have since owned 2 blue cars but for awhile it seemed so true and very real. I had convinced myself. I had to undo all that.
