Wind Sand Water (My Beloved)

Aloha

I welcome you to the island of my heart
Allow me to guide you through channels toward my secret place
The hidden cove of who I am, what I am
There I have a prepared a seat for only you
A space were we can entangle ourselves
Like hanging vines and grow strong together
Beloved, plant your roots
Around me and squeeze
I'm your rock and your roots preserves me
Two distinct entities but one peice

Beloved know that I always want you here on this island
Stay until forever is no more
Let your hair down and be free
And allow the wind of my hands
Message and run over you like an island breeze
Beloved, without you my language can not speak
These whispering are for you alone

Mahalo

Beloved, I appreciate you, adorn you
The weather of life is sometimes harsh
When the winds blew with fury
You never took sail
Instead you trusted and believed in me

When the waves of life pressed and beated
You kept me strong with the working of your hands, the warmth of your soft skin
When the tides and rip tides came
You remain faithful, loyal
Your eyes never strayed
Your heart never quivered

Oh my dear Beloved
When the weather tried to erode this island
You kept me sane with the melody of your song
It reshaped my way of thinking

Beloved, you are my hope for tomorrow
My reason for living life today
Without out you I'm just an empty shoreline
But with you my Beloved
I'm an island of paradise and these shores
Will always be your home

Author's Note
I wanted to write a love poem and a lot of the imagines that are in this poem comes from my visit in Hawaii or Hawai'i as the locals call it. Aloha means more than welcome. I tried to interrupt my version of what Aloha is the first section of the poem. Mahalo means thank you. In the second half of the poem I express my meaning of mahalo. I hope you all enjoyed it. Thank you.
