Clock Hand
So many emotions to face, to fix
Changing every minute
in the grip of the clock hand
Most won't notice, just passerby's
Different than the shades nature presents
More subtle in their creep from warm to cold
And too unpredictable to give a season
Only the dam governs the rush the flow
Rationing calm relief moments at a time
Until the clock hand strikes to break
So many emotions to face, to fix
Too faint and thin for a stranger's eyes
Changing every minute
in the grip of the clock hand
Most won't notice, just passerby's
Different than the shades nature presents
More subtle in their creep from warm to cold
And too unpredictable to give a season
Only the dam governs the rush the flow
Rationing calm relief moments at a time
Until the clock hand strikes to break
So many emotions to face, to fix
Too faint and thin for a stranger's eyes
