Chorus Home

This old house
Sings a chorus
Humming floor below us
Rattling pipes
N’ clank’n pots and pans
Mama sings her well wishes
As daddy fiddles with the dishes
But mama she’s the leader of the band

There’s the trumpet sound of cries
As the kids drum up lies
For trouble they’ve gotten in
N’ the dog’s wagging tail
Keeps time with the yells
As grandpa tunes up the mandolin

Home sweet home
Built on the sounds of love
From kisses to brotherly shoves
Home sweet home
Where laughter
Follows tears
And you are always glad
Your near
To home
