Imposter spun from verity
impugning true prosperity
falsehoods of the first degree
imagined for self’s pedigree
comfort is given without regret
to the others that connect
with the nature identified
by the honesty of the mind
these labels affirm accomplishment
thought illegitimate for the self
this is the greatest of all lies
when to others this could apply
success is thought for other folks
don’t fall prey to this joke
there are no frauds when the work
confirms the fear to be a jerk.

The poem “Imposter Spun” is about the imposter syndrome, a psychological pattern in which one doubts one's accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud".

Interesting way to write this. I feel you could go even deeper than that. We all are afraid of being told we are wrong or that we weren't important. We all doubt ourselves because we feel as if others doubt us. Lies spin in your mind and you have trouble finding the real truth. So you see yourself as a fraud. You see yourself as a loser.
We dream to be great but when that dream ends we never go for it. It is hard to find yourself and even harder to accept yourself.
