I don't believe in the sanctity of marriage, a piece of paper. I do believe in commitment, monogamy and trust.
Picture is of the Emerald Pools, in The Narrows of the Canyon Lands in my home state.
Respect our 5 national parks travelers. You are destroying them by leaving your garbage and wondering off the assigned foot traffic trails. Mother Nature is a commitment to respect her glory. These places are thousands of years old. In the last 5 years, you have permently damaged them.

Marriage IMHO is a Christian construct in its solid granite form.
Today if viewed in a Pagan light -- it's more of a shared eternal loving nature.

True my dear. A piece of paper may work for those who have a valid reason for it. Personally, I think a spiritual connection cannot be found in the eyes of the law.

No reason for the government to be involved in licensing marriage...that is a 20th-century invention by authoritarians...and it wasn't the church...
