Blind

Have you ever sat in a pitch black room
Ever tried to look see if you can see your own hand
Ever look at the shadows around you
Ever feel like you are stuck in sand.

I have always wondered what it was like to be blind
What do they see
Do they see blackness or just shadows
Sometimes I wonder what that would be

Sometimes no sight is beautiful
It is a different type of sight
Imagine everything colorful
Now imagine that color without light

Maybe the most beautiful things we see are the things we don't see
At least then we can make it what we want it to be
We can make it into something bright
Or if we want we can take out the light

I know blindness is considered a curse
But there is something pure about seeing just shadows or dark pictures
I don't know why I feel that way but I do
Imagine the ability to be able to make light and darkness into a mixture

Wouldn't it be nice to turn lights off when u want to be alone
Sit by yourself and just look at what is there
Because even in darkness there is something
What u see in darkness is completely clear

In light you see colors so bright
But in darkness you create your own light
What you truly see comes from inside of you
So next time turn the lights off look around and see something new.

Author's Note
I know being completely blind sucks but I feel if you can decide when to be blind it would be kind of cool. Let me know how you think. I know you might think this is controversial. I'm not saying blindness is good but I'm saying it isn't completely awful either.
