Dancing Around the Core
What is the core of man
but a truthful, blazing light?
The most fear I've seen
in the eyes of anyone
With my mirror flames
Within
confronted by the
abandoned blaze
within their minds
Feeling sure to be burned down
chase me away
with pitchforks and pine torches
for showing them
what they already knew was there
Yet now I see that I myself
am coward
Still! Though I swear
I'll fight this
I won't abandon my fellow cowards
as angel near
I'll hold them in my gentle sway
And remind them to
love that inner flame
but a truthful, blazing light?
The most fear I've seen
in the eyes of anyone
With my mirror flames
Within
confronted by the
abandoned blaze
within their minds
Feeling sure to be burned down
chase me away
with pitchforks and pine torches
for showing them
what they already knew was there
Yet now I see that I myself
am coward
Still! Though I swear
I'll fight this
I won't abandon my fellow cowards
as angel near
I'll hold them in my gentle sway
And remind them to
love that inner flame
