I'm Not Doing This Again
I can feel your eyes sliding down my spine
Tracing my lips in a breathless hush
Your heartbeat is in my head
Throbbing in a heated rush
There's an unspoken desire to cross this divide
Years of friendship have weathered much
One summer altered our chemistry
Now we're fighting tension without a single touch
There's another man in my bed
I'd rather die than cause that kind of pain
To this beautiful broken soul I've loved so fiercely
But you keep circling round and round my brain
Your eyes violate yet soothe me
In a way no other can do
You're a flavor of your own my dear
And I simply must fast from you
Tracing my lips in a breathless hush
Your heartbeat is in my head
Throbbing in a heated rush
There's an unspoken desire to cross this divide
Years of friendship have weathered much
One summer altered our chemistry
Now we're fighting tension without a single touch
There's another man in my bed
I'd rather die than cause that kind of pain
To this beautiful broken soul I've loved so fiercely
But you keep circling round and round my brain
Your eyes violate yet soothe me
In a way no other can do
You're a flavor of your own my dear
And I simply must fast from you
