Angel of Hope

gazing through her empty lifeless eyes
upon the crimson sun before it dies

her shadow wanes so ever softly now
leaving her alone inside her mind
crying to the sky, conjure darkness light
wailing in her sorrow, failing might

the night is relentless here
maddening silence, it endears
never will she be, alive or free
trapped forever in her frozen life

pleading death she writhes
broken soul she hides

immortal are her fears
knowing no hate no sin

she hails from a land of fairytales
an angel of the river of hope
held against her will, how ironic still
endlessly she wanders this world

memories of her past tease her still
a need for belonging she craves
amongst the horrors now, blinded by desire
merciless she kills to fulfill

pleading death she writhes
tainted soul now rise

awaken from hell
purest soul now stained whole
the angel of death
rise to life, to god defy
