Bleed With Me
Two demons found each other
parasites upon our auras
Yours found the worst in me
or was it - a conspiracy?
I'd never hurt you
never!
Despite this truth
when we're together
we bleed these days
as much as ever
It's not you that triggers me
I'm sure I'm not attacking you...
Yet funny little words like bees
sting our souls with great malease
Worst of all the two of us
will never see it coming
Yet I insist we take the risk
Come here
sit
and bleed with me

A very interesting write. It comes off to me as the battle within oneself when in a toxic relationship but its all you've ever known, so there is a fear of letting go. Essentially holding on too what bleeds your soul dry. Loved this one!

It could read be that way.
I don't like spoiling interpretations but the alternative can be enlightening.
In this case, I'd say it's two empathic lovebirds with c-ptsd... whose insecure attempts to communicate easily get turned upside down.

I find my interactions are always fraught with risk. Nobody is safe, in my opinion.
Aside from every way this can be us... I'm a cheeky girl who understands why few people do comedy. It's enough to make you shit your pants ...or smudge a good relationship...
And then there are always those amazing and unexpected moments... when nobody was joking... but... you still manage to become that annoying little sister...
