Persistence

Instinct beats it's defiance
Against the violence of silence
The brought thrashing of thought
Pacing its binds of indentured conjecture
Races a heart to tear the traces of it's viens
By the prescense of abscense and the hold of it's lands
It falls to the sands
A wrought form of exhaustion
Caught in the hands of memory
And the salve of their finds
That what is to be
Is the persistence of time.
