hidden in mystery,
in debt to none,
alive somewhere,
obsolete abandon,
silly kitsch,
the bird of Baltimore,

as if you didn't know,
designing a stern-wheeler,
washing undies,
wasting our gods,
soaking of saints,
decapitant martyrs,
righteous indignitaries,
forged dollars,

a day at the circus,
a life warmed by fresh bread,
child abandoned to the void,
manly enraged bravado,
the tears of many mothers,
the light is a blind eye,
one foot steps forward,
next foot steps back,
father searches (for) daughter-child,
so many fools,
 so much fun,
the blight of wealth,
scene unseen,
a marvelous joke,
a crowded subway,
a mansion for displaced persons,
missionaries on dire missions,
fool-assed follies.
Life'll kill the best of us,
life will kill the worst as well,
Few who live are living,
the entering dragon,
a bad line of credit,
an eXiting toad,
pockets stiffed wit poise,
newly weds quick turn old,
bumbling biologist makes a mistake,
never a bad brother.
Time so untimely,
no grown girls to share love,
(a grand crowd of loneliness),
the best being better,
the better, the merrier,
sudden daylight,
sudden dark,
sudden life;
sudden death,

suddenly, it all ends
