Laughter comes and laughter goes
But laughter never stays
It tickles the ears and coddles the heart
Then slowly fades away
Bringing some joy, and mending somes pain
On solemn or sunless days
Laughters the lightning that kindles a fire
For broken hearts in decay

It's a bit like magic, laughter is... I wrote that line as a teenager in a journal... and I wrote the rest last night after reading it. Thank you for your kind words, Scribbles!

This should be entered into a comp. It's crisp detail, in sharp relief, it's sing song lilt counterpointing the gravitas of it's subject matter, you accomplish a lot in a few stanzas. Beautifully rendered.
