Silent Violence

There're so many who're suffering in silence
Being muted victims of domestic violence
As the time keeps tick, tick & ticking away
Uttering not a word; concerned what others'll say

They pray that someday the pain will end
Reality being that it also happens to men
They pretend that it doesn't out of fear
Emasculating terms are what they'll hear

It's not fair but what the hell in life is
It even happens in front of his kids
Hid from outsiders is the true her
While deep down inside he requires a cure
