Early A.M.
The rooster crows
The dogs snore
And birds began to chirp
Another long nite
Dreamed about the beast
So i asked her to lay beside me
Rest did come
But it was o so short
Why didn't I ask her before
Only in her arms
Like a bird in his nest
Do i truly feel safe
Why don't I ask her to stay.
