Poet's Prerogative

It seems that I have a tendency
to piss off people accidentally
I guess I understand,  but it wasn't my plan
Don't worry, I don't take it personally
 
The fact is, I'm a rare breed
I'm emotionally mature and immature simultaneously
I'm not afraid to feel, I always keep it real,
In a nutshell, I'm just being me
 
You may label me, judge me, or even insult.
Just keep in mind I'm abnormally poetic
In fact, by definition, I'm my own occult
My supernatural beliefs are quite prophetic  
 
Maybe to understand me, you must read my poems
Though, they have a different meaning to each person
My deep spiritual poems are found in my erotica
God is found in the human connection
 
Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I'm sad
I do tend to be quite expressive,
but not every poem is about good or bad
I write what I want, it's my prerogative
