I Wonder...

Do you look up and see the same moon that I do?
Do you view the sky the same way too?

We are oceans apart
But so close in our hearts
Never to touch... yet
wanting each other so much

That bright star I look up at
Will your eyes be cast upwards too
to have the same starlight
reflecting from your eyes...
Thinking of me and you

Longing to lace fingers together 
We will never feel each others skin
the warmth of our touch
Needing each other so much

I hear the rumble of thunder 
Will you eventually hear it too?
Or will it echo out and disappear
into the vast waters between me and you

To taste your lips on mine
Breathe in your very essence
To spend hours locked in an embrace
I will never have that pleasure
Or to see the look of love upon your face
