Does everyone have a soul mate?
Or just a lucky few?
Is love, at first sight, a myth
Or a reality so unbelievably true?
Is the feeling, instant attraction?
A sense you've met before
A knowing you'll no longer roam
Just like coming home
Secure in their embrace
You never want to leave
Their breath on your neck
Brings you to your knees
Compromise on the cards
Strength you look to foster
Content with no one around
Understanding, without sound
A passion so intense,
you'll never want another
Acceptance prevails
Your last and forever lover
Is it only in the movies?
This kind of intense love
Am I kidding myself into believing
I'll find my matching glove?

A universal wonder for the romance in all of us. I sure wish I knew the answer to that query. Might have made a huge difference in the life I lead now, alas.

Thank you for your comments. I can't work out if you are being jokingly sarsatic (no offence taken if you are) or the question is serious. For the purpose of clarity I'll explain. The operative word here is find, which infers the gloves exists... And just like missing sock in a sock draw i haven't found it yet. ind it. That's not to say I won't. ❤️. Your comments are appreciated and I hope you continue to enjoy my work.

I was being serious.
I was trying to say it is only natural that you would find the other glove, for why would a maker make just one. Gloves as socks come in pairs. I believe as you...you will find for what you look.

Hi Joy,
Love is not perfect so is the life. Perfection is only in cemeteries. We are a soul and mate as well. We have to become a soulmate ourselves before we look out for soulmate. Joy, you are right we look for soulmate to be perfect and complete. It is a journey we enjoy to seek. I love your piece for contentment.
